Equipment to the wort production from malt, malt extracts, hops, water
Wort brew system includes all equipment needed to malt preparation and wort production before the beer fermentation process.
Main parts of the wort brewing system
- Malt processing system – consists of the malt squeezing machine and equipment to storage, transport, dosing and collection of malt before brewing process.
- Brewhouse machines – the wort production machines consists of tanks for mixing and boiling malt in water, mashing and filtering of wort, boiling of wort with hops, separation of hops and malt from wort. They includes also service platform and system for measure and control of entire wort brewing process.
- Wort coolers and aerators – equipment for cooling of hot wort before the beer fermentation process.
- Wort and water heating system – equipment for heating of wort and water – hot steam generators, electric heaters etc.
- Water management system – hot water tank, cold water tank and other equipment for treatment of water, storage of water, heating of water for wort brew machine, pre-cooling of treated water for the wort cooling proces.
- Connection system – includes pipes, wires, valves, pumps, control system and installation material to connection of all parts needed to preparation of wort.

What is wort?

The wort is an important intermediate product in the beer production process. The wort is a sweet liquid extracted from the mashing process during the brewing of beer in a brewhouse machine from malt (or malt extract), hops and water. Wort contains the sugars, the most important being maltose and maltotriose, that will be fermented by the brewing yeast to produce alcohol in the following beer fermentation process. Final hopped wort also contains crucial amino acids to provide nitrogen to the yeast as well as more complex proteins contributing to beer retention and flavour … More about the wort production process
