Secondary fermentation tanks for cider production

Fermentors and tanks intended to the secondary fermentation of cider

Fermentors and tanks intended to the maturation of cider

We produce and offer several types of the fermentors intended to the secondary cider fermentation. Cylindrical mature tanks are a traditional pressure fermentation vessels, universal cylindrically-conical fermenation tanks are the modern cider fermentation technology. We offer also simplified cylindrical or conical fermentors with low price, pressure stainless steel barrels, pressure plastic fermentors and barrels made of polyethylene and some other types of the fermentation vessels as well.

Our offer for the fermentors for the secondary fermentation of cider

Fermentors only for the secondary fermentation – pressure vessels intended only to the maturation of cider :

Universal tanks for both primary and secondary fermentation of cider in the same vessel without the pumping beverage between two tanks :

  • CCT : Cylindrically-conical cider fermentation tanks – universal pressurizable tank intended for both primary and secondary fermentation of cider in the same vessel without the pumping beverage between two tanks. Available for all kinds of fermenting beverages. Conical bottom allows easy separation of yeast from beverage to later use.
  • FUIC : Compact units for cider fermentation and maturation – the compact devides that include all what is needed for both the primary and secondary fermentation of cider. One, two, three or four cylindrically-conical fermentors, cooling unit, temperature control system, frame.
  • CFS : Complete sets for cider fermentation and maturation – Fully equipped sets for the fermentation and maturation of cider equipped with classical cylindrical-conical tanks and all equipment that is needed for controlled cooling of the tanks with fermenting beverage.

What is the secondary fermentation of cider ?

The fruit crushing and pressing process which is the first phase of the production cycle of cider is followed by a second phase, called the cider fermentation process. Fermentation of fruit juice is a manifestation of metabolism of special yeast, which is added to the fruit juice immediately after it is pumped from the press to fermentation vessels.

Entire cider fermentation process includes two phases : The primary cider fermentation and the secondary cider fermentation.

Secondary cider fermentation :

After the primary fermentation the cider is pumped into another container, wherein continuing secondary cider fermentation process has a lower intensity, but at a lower temperature and higher pressure, while the cider is saturated with carbon dioxide. This part of the fermentation process is called maturation of cider.
